Thirsty For Truth

Hello all! Yet another week has already come and gone. This week cruised by… I guess that is bound to happen when you work 12-14 hour days for 6 days straight! That is to be expected in my career field at this time of year. So, I recently moved desks at work and I can say I think this is the first time in my life I have actually been comfortable (temperature wise) while at work. I typically freeze and have to wear my jacket, but now I am able to keep it around 80 degrees which is perfect! Well, the coolest part about my week were the discussions I had with my friend from work. He has this thirst for knowledge and has a plan to read all the main books of scripture from all the different religions. Very impressive! While he was talking I had a grin on my face, he stopped and asked why, I said, because all the questions you have can be answered by the Mormon Church! It made me realize how blessed I am to have the knowledge that I do- I often forget that what I know is not common knowledge. Anyway, I told him I was going to ask him in 5 years what he learned from all his studies! Last night we went to Hard Rock Café for a co-workers birthday. All we do is work and if we do anything outside of work it’s eating! Pretty exciting life, huh? The raspberry lemonade was delicious! Yesterday was also jersey day in the office. I am not a fan of any team, nor do I own a jersey, so a coworker brought one in for me so I could participate.
When I went to the Canary for dinner last week I got a picture of the grilled hallum (ha-loom) and the pita bread. The pita reminded me of scones… so I had one with butter and honey on it when I got home- yummy!
Lastly, I love the tree in this picture. It is a nice attempt at greenery in this extremely brown country!

That tree does seem a bit strange there, but I'm sure any green is nice!
I bet you are so busy. This time of year seems to always be crazy busy.

It was fun to talk to you and Moms. Did you get Preston's email address? We really want you to come to Utah :)
