Bobisms

February 26th is always a day full of memories.  It is a day I pull out my journal and read the entry I wrote 8 years ago.  It always makes me reflect on how blessed I am to have such a wonderful dad.  There is not a day that goes by that I do not think of him, I miss him.  It makes me smile to read the "Bobisms" I've recorded in my journal, so in tribute to Dad here are a few.  Love you Dad!

- "Come look at my dumb kid!"
- "There is a brownie under there!"
- "Go pound sand."
- "Go play on a freeway."
- "You call that music?" or "I can't belieive you like that better than music!"
- A cheerful "Good morning" without fail every day
- "Dad" (silence), "Dad" (silence), "Bob" ("What?") ... it is a good thing Ryan dubbed him Bob since it was easier to say and spell than Dad! At least he responded to it!
- When showing him my report card of straight A's he would always respond, "I'm so disappointed, couldn't you do better?"
- "I'm so glad you came home, it is so good to see you." (said every time I came home from USU)
- "I've cut it twice and it's still too short!"
- Plunking on the piano working on new song arrangments
- Hockey puck pancakes
- Watching a college basketball game on t.v. while listening to a different game on the radio takes talent!
- Ugly trucks and left the keys in the ignition (begging for someone to steal it?)
- Amazing reflexes, he never missed when I threw something at him trying to catch him off guard
- Extreemly supportive and never missed a soccer game (all but the last one and only because I told him not to come since I was sure there was going to be another)
- Loved talk radio
- Extreemly talented in singing and gestured with his thumb when people were flat
- Test for spiders
- Could fix anything
- Great at directions.  He could find anywhere or anything unless it was in Provo.
- If two black screws would work, five would be better

I look forward to the day when I can get a hug from him and once again hear him say, "I'm so glad you came home, it is so good to see you!"
