· I was asked to be a team captain, so I was in charge of finding a team and coordinating all the details. My team name was YSA Warriors! Basically, someone had to be on the track walking at all times from 6:00pm until 8:00am. So, it was an all night party!
· There were about 18 teams in all with the teams ranging from 5 to 15 people. I had about 14 people on my team, but only about 9 were able to stay the whole night.
· The event took place at Regis Jesuit High School and all the teams pitched tents and decorated their own camp site.
YSA Warriors- Go Team!
· Fundraisers were happening on site and the event was open to the entire community to stop by and participate in the festivities.
· It was fun to be out walking at 2:00 in the morning! Despite being a little chilly, it really was a fun event.
· I had a great team and enjoyed spending time visiting with people. Some of my co-workers were team captains, and others participated in the event, so I knew a lot of people there which made it fun!
Just Having Fun!
· I was very impressed with all those people who were willing to give of their time and sacrifice sleep to help such a great cause!
We Made It!
· If you ever have a chance to participate in the Relay for Life in your area, I encourage you to take advantage of it, because it really was a neat thing to be a part of (even if you don’t stay the entire night).
